Areas of Practice  >  Business and Transactional Law

For more than 30 years our firm has counseled hundreds of businessmen and women on issues affecting the most simple sole proprietorship or “mom and pop” stay-at-home enterprise to multimillion-dollar corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. We have negotiated acquisitions and mergers, drafted stock purchase, confidentiality, non-compete, employment and many other forms of agreements necessary in every day business. We have drafted employer’s handbooks, setting forth employee policies and procedures and assisted on wage payment issues.

We also answer the simplest questions ranging from “should I incorporate?” to “what is the difference between a C and an S corporation?”

We act as the registered agent for more than 50 corporations and are always available to help resolve any issue.

We pride ourselves on our ability to counsel and assist the inexperienced, as well as the experienced veteran. Most issues have multiple appropriate solutions. Come in for a free consultation, ask the questions you need answered and choose the right course of action for your own personal needs.

Employment Law
The firm frequently advises it's business clients on a host of issues relating to employment. We also frequently receive questions from employees. Most often are questions concerning "Employment at Will" and what rights either the employer or employee have with respect to termination. Other issues concern the "Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act", development of an "Employer's Handbook of Policies and Procedures", Health Insurance and Employee benefits. What to do if served with a "Wage Garnishment" or "Wage Deduction Order." We will be happy to provide a no cost initial consultation at our office or your place of business.
