James F. Bishop

Mr. Bishop’s business career began in 1965 as a trust officer with American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago. Shortly after passing the bar examination in 1966, Bishop began his legal career with the Chicago law firm of Gould and Ratner, concentrating in real estate, real estate taxation and landlord and tenant matters. In 1973, Bishop and the late Murray McGuire formed a partnership and began the general practice of law in their hometown, Crystal Lake.

Mr. Bishop has been active in many community activities including having served 2 terms on the local high school and one term on the elementary school Boards of Education. In addition, he has been a director and legal counsel to the Adult & Child Rehabilitation Center for more than 30 years, served on the Board of Directors of a local hospital, Ducks Unlimited and many other organizations.

Concentrating in:
Real Estate, land development, annexation, planning and zoning; gaming law, health and food service law; business acquisitions and mergers; corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies and criminal matters, including DUI and traffic.
